PowerGrid Recruitment 2023 for Junior Officer Trainee
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Junior Officer Trainee (HR) in various disciplines. There are a total of 46 vacancies available for the post, and candidates with a BBA/BBM/BBS qualification can apply for the job. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online on the official website of PGCIL. The detailed eligibility criteria and selection process for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post are as follows:
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have a three-year full-time Graduate Regular Degree – BBA/ BBM/ BBS or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institute/ University with not less than 60% marks. The age limit for the post is 27 years as of 30 May 2023. Candidates should not have been born on or after 30.05.2005 and on or before 30.05.1996.
Age Relaxation: The age relaxation for OBC(NCL) candidates is 3 years (for the posts reserved for the respective category), while it is 5 years for SC/ST candidates (for the posts reserved for the respective category). The age relaxation for PwBD candidates is 10 years over & above category relaxation. Ex-Servicemen will get relaxation as per Govt. of India directives, and victims of riots will also get relaxation as per Govt. of India directives.
Salary: The salary for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post is Rs. 45,000/-.
Selection Process: The selection process for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post shall consist of Application Scrutiny, Written Test/Computer Based Test of eligible candidates, Document Verification, Computer Skill Test, and Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
Application Scrutiny: The application scrutiny for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post shall be based on the Job Specification, Relaxation, and Concession as mentioned in the detailed advertisement and supporting documents uploaded on the application portal. Hence, candidates are advised to be very careful while uploading the relevant documents.
Written Test/Computer-Based Test: Admission to the Written Test/Computer-Based Test will be on production of Admit Card. The test duration is 2 hours, and the questions are of Objective Type. Each question shall have four answer options. Part-I [Professional Knowledge (PKT)] – 120 Questions and Part-II [Aptitude Test (AT)] – 50 Questions. All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼. The number of candidates called for the Computer Skill Test may change as per the availability of suitable candidates at the cut-off.
Document Verification & Computer Skill Test: The Computer Skill Test for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post will be of Qualifying in nature, and Qualifying marks in the test shall be 50% for Unreserved and 40% for reserved category candidates, subject to reservation of posts in respective Region.
Empanelment of Candidates: Those who qualify in CST shall be empaneled in order of merit as per their marks in the written test. The final merit for selection will be decided based on marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test/ Computer Based Test (100% weightage) subject to qualifying in Computer Skill Test which is qualifying in nature and carries no weightage in the final merit. Candidates who will qualify as per qualifying criteria shall be shortlisted category-wise for empanelment, in proportion to the number of vacancies in the respective category.
Application Fees: The application fee for the Junior Officer Trainee (HR) post is Rs. 300/-. However, SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of the application
